Mortgage rates didn’t really move this week. Even with everything going on globally, the market isn’t reacting much right now.
Jobless claims came in a bit higher than expected, but not enough to push the 10-year Treasury yield in either direction—which is why mortgage rates stayed flat.
For homeowners in Pinellas County thinking about selling, this kind of stability matters. When rates aren’t jumping around, buyers feel a little more confident. That can translate into more consistent demand, especially for well-priced homes.
It doesn’t mean rates will stay like this forever, but for now, there’s no major pressure coming from the financing side of things.
